Our NOVEMBER meeting will be November 10th from 6pm to 8:30pm at RIT! Please RSVP at http://nextplex.com/rochester-ny/calendar/events/33034-approchester-nov-10th-monthly-meeting-ibm-bluemix so we can order enough food.
NOTE: This is the SECOND Tuesday because our meeting room is used for election coverage on the first Tuesday.
Our own Phil Sacchitella from IBM will be speaking on IBM Bluemix and their Mobile First strategy.
Phil will be talking about the changes to IBM’s MobileFirst Platform with the release of version 7.1. This version offers a lot to developers not available to other mobile platforms. Go to http://www.ibm.com/mobilefirst/us/en/mobile-platform.html for more information. He will also cover the recent updates to IBM’s Bluemix cloud service. If you haven’t already, please sign up for an account at bluemix.net, it’s free to try and use for 30 days and many of the services are free perpetually.
Phil will also touch on how to apply for a position at IBM, what they are looking for and what the different divisions mean.
First we have a couple of new Meetup groups for the Buffalo area.
